If you think about Thailand, most people think about beautiful sunny beaches and perhaps spicy Thai food. But Thailand is much more than just beaches. I’ve added a new photo gallery that shows a different, less known Thailand of mangrove forests, rocky islands and tropical rain forests.
Khao Ta Poo is a small, remarkable island in the Andaman Sea of Thailand. It became known as ‘James Bond Island’ after the James Bond movie ‘The man with the golden gun’ was shot here. Today, despite being a tourist trap, it is still as charming as in the movie.
The floods in Thailand are hurting the photo industry badly. The DSLR production facilities of both Sony and Nikon are submersed, and according to they have ‘no prospect of recovery’. This can only mean shortages in the coming months, and delays of new cameras.
