HIPA

I just returned from Dubai, for a visit to the award ceremony of the HIPA (Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Photography Award). This photo contest and exhibition is quickly turning into one of the biggest photo contests in the world. This season, HIPA received a total of 80,420 photographs from 32,712 photographers from 173 countries around the world. It must also be noted that 66% of participants this season have taken part in the competition for the very first time.
