New hardware

When I bought my new camper, I realised that I would be working away from home for many months per year. So far, I always used two different computers. At home I had my main desktop machine, and on the road I would use a lightweight, but not so powerful laptop. I would have loved to have a laptop that was powerful enough to replace both, but so far that laptop simply did not exist. Today that has changed, and for the first time in my life I only have one computer that I use for everything. Tim Cook finally listened to my plea! I’m typing this on my brand new Apple 16 inch MacBook Pro M1 Max, a laptop that is a bit heavier and bigger than the one I had before, but is still perfect for all my travels. On the road the 16 inch screen and the ultra powerful M1 Max processor make this laptop unlike any laptop, also because it can produce all this power for 20 hours on a single battery charge. That is really amazing. And when I’m at home, the same laptop is docked and runs two 4K screens, and is still way faster than my now retired desktop computer was. Using applications like Lightroom Classic, Photoshop and Premiere Pro is a real joy on this super computer. Like the Americans say: “I’m a happy camper”!
