On my recent trip to Scotland it became once again very clear that ‘good weather’ is something different than sunny weather, at least when it comes to photography. For photographers ‘good weather’ is the kind of weather that goes best with the subject, and for the rugged Scottish landscape that means clouds and perhaps a bit of fog, not sunshine. Just imagine a clear blue sky over these landscapes. Would that make the photos better? I think it would not!
