Having some older medium format lenses can give you an unexpected benefit. Because I am writing an article about adapters, I searched the internet for different types of adapters and I found this rather unknown German company. They produce a tilt-shift adapter to use Pentax 645 lenses on Canon EOS, and I just happened to have two old Pentax 645 lenses from my medium format film days; the 2.8/75mm and the 3.5/150mm. I first bought a simple non-tilt/shift adapter to see if the quality of these lenses is still adaquate and when I found that it certainly is, I ordered the tilt/sift adapter from Mirex. For 490 Euro I will have two more tilt/shift lenses (next to the TS-E 24mm I already own), so that’s a real bargain! Delivery is in about six weeks, so the photo below that I took in Tokyo this week was still corrected in another way.
