Wildlife photographers have a tendency to always pick that long telephoto lens. Even on their Facebook profile picture most of them hide their faces behind such a lens. Wildlife photography with a short focal length can be very rewarding, though. It gives you the chance of showing the animal in its natural habitat. This image, taken many years ago in the Ngorongoro Crater in Tanzania, is still one of my favorite photographs for just that reason.
